Quality Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a proactive and hands-on leader to manage our Quality Assurance department and ensure our high standards are upheld in an EN9100 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of quality engineers, overseeing day-to-day workload and ensuring business needs are met.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO9001, AS/EN9100) and Environmental Management System (ISO14001).
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure accreditation is upheld.
  • Handle customer and supplier quality issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Oversee nonconformance management, including containment, correction, and preventive measures.
  • Ensure completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards.
  • Support process improvements, training initiatives, and deployment of quality software and methodologies.
  • Maintain calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
  • Monitor and improve departmental KPIs to drive performance.
  • Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to business strategy and cross-functional objectives.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Strong GD&T and metrology skills.
  • Minimum five years of quality engineering experience.
  • A skilled leader with self-motivation, organisation, and autonomy.
  • Experience in coaching and upskilling team members.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS/EN9100 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Adaptability and a problem-solving mindset within a small business environment.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professional approach.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of machined plastic and metal parts, compression, and transfer moulding.
  • Experience in high QA environments.
