AAT are a leading specialist Lifting and Safety Equipment Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Company, working within the Wind Energy Industry throughout the UK and Europe. Due to continued company growth, we require motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Statutory Inspection department.
Responsibilities
- As a Trainee Inspector you will be responsible for the inspection of a wide range of safety and work equipment within a wind turbine.
- You will be part of team of inspectors working to the highest safety and environmental standards.
- The role will require traveling to and from wind farms athroughout the UK with regular overnight stays required.
Qualifications
- Relevant formal qualifications minimum SVQ/ NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical etc) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry is preferred.
- Ideally three years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment e.g., wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant or similar heavy engineering maintenance
- You will possess a full, clean driving license
Competencies
- The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions
- Experience of team working
- An enthusiastic approach, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and well organised
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A professional understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment
- A good level of computer literacy
- Pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment is confirmed.

Starting salary £30,420 rising to £46,800

- Monday to Friday
