Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Deputy Agri Sales Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, candidates from all backgrounds will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Deputy Agri Sales Manager:
- Assist the Agri Sales Manager in achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
- Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, agricultural contractors, and distributors.
- Provide technical knowledge and product recommendations to customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
- Support pricing, quotations, and contract negotiations.
- Oversee order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales support.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Train and mentor sales team members.
- Deputise for the Sales Manager in their absence.
Skills and Qualifications for the Deputy Agri Sales Manager:
- Proven experience in agricultural sales, construction, or a related industry.
- Previous management or leadership experience, even if gained in a different sector.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with farmers, contractors, and distributors.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- A full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience in managing or leading a sales team within a related or different industry.
- A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Understanding of industry regulations and sustainability practices in agriculture.
