- Be responsible for designing monorail systems; general arrangement drawing, building modifications, structural steel frames, rail & suspension, hardware drawings, etc.
- Create designs in accordance with relevant BS EN ISO standards.
- Attend contract handover meetings, to observe, ask questions and document key takeaways related to the project and design process.
- Liaise with Project Managers.
- Produce, issue and update Project CBS documents.
- Liaise with structural engineers to gain structural approval of main steel frame and platforms.
- Assess and complete operational risk assessments in conjunction with the project managers.
- Attend control handover meetings and provide supporting documentation for the controls team.
- Create and prepare installation documentation.
- Provide design support to installation teams, including support out of hours, respond to questions or clarifications, raising site requests and problem solve in a timely manner.
- Liaise with sales, production and installation departments.
- Be competent in using CAD Systems – producing both 2D and 3D outputs and Tekla Structures.
- Be competent in producing detailed models, general layouts and productions drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Have knowledge of BS, EN ISO Standards.
- Competent in using SolidWorks, Autodesk AEC and MEP application suits, a desirable.
- Knowledge of Eurocodes, a desirable.
- Be able to create and produce technical documentation.
- Provide a portfolio with examples of previous detailed engineering drawings.
- ONC, NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Always adhere to company’s H&S policy.
- Follow company procedures and complete all documentation appropriately and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking and working to deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, organisation, and planning skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and with customers.
- Willing to travel independently for short periods in the UK and internationally.
