Accounts Portfolio Manager,  Agriculture, COR7155

As part of continuing business growth, my client - a Top 100 Accountancy Firm - has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accounts Portfolio Manager to join their team.

Whilst the successful Accounts Portfolio Manager will be based in the Banbury office, they will be able to work from home up to 2 days a week.

The Role

The Accounts Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of clients - in particular within the Agriculture sector - and will drive the delivery of accounting and tax planning solutions to these clients.  The Accounts Portfolio Manager will provide exceptional levels of service to clients on a wide variety of areas, so as to become their point of contact on day-to-day matters.  The Accounts Portfolio Manager will review accounts and tax returns prepared by more junior staff and will assist with the management of the department, delegating routine work to others, completing staff appraisals, and ensuring work is planned and progressed in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner.

What experience does the Accounts Portfolio Manager need?

  • ACA, ACCA or CTA Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Existing Accounts and Tax experience within a Practice environment
  • An in depth knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation knowledge
  • Experience at manager level within a Practice environment would be highly advantageous, as would any experience of working with agricultural/rural businesses
