- Sending out enquiries for quotations and raising purchase orders.
- Placing orders in line with production and sales requirements.
- Chasing and checking purchase order acknowledgements.
- Creating and maintaining inventory and business partner data in the operating system.
- Loading production orders and ensuring timely supply chain management.
- Contacting suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule.
- Highlighting potential supply chain issues and working within ISO procedures.
- Supporting stock control, handling discrepancies, and assisting with stock takes.
- Assisting the department with related tasks and ad hoc duties.
- Solid administration background, ideally within purchasing or procurement.
- SAP experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident and proactive when following up on deliveries and orders over the phone.
- Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Personable approach with excellent telephone and communication skills.
