Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to lead the planning, estimation, and execution of electrical projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Plan, manage, and oversee electrical projects from conception to completion.
  • Regular liaison with client representatives and stakeholder management
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.

Estimation:

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information.
  • Develop detailed bills of materials, labour costs, and timelines.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any queries or concerns.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Lead project teams, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders and provide updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all electrical project-related inquiries.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all work complies with project-specific security protocols.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and project documentation.
  • Oversee risk assessments and implement mitigating measures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Qualified Electrician
  • Active SC Clearanceor eligibility to obtain clearance.
  • Proven experience in electrical project management and estimation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence
