Our client based in Barrow In Furness are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to fabricate precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, materials handling, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and possess basic maths skills to ensure accuracy in programming and production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling operations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create precise components.
  • Operate CNC machinery, ensuring high-quality fabrication of parts.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Assemble components as required, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.

Experience

  • Experience with CNC milling machines and tooling is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with materials handling practices within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Basic maths skills are necessary for programming accuracy and measurements.
  • Previous experience in fabrication or assembly roles will be an advantage
