We are supporting a company based in Basildon who are recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller for a 6-month FTC. You will be offered a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 and to be successful you must be able to start immediately or with a short notice period. This is a fully office-based role with free parking onsite, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays and a supportive team environment.
Duties will include but not be limited to:

Overseeing one in the team

Serve as the main point of contact for annual audits

Handle VAT returns across the UK and Ireland

Set weekly and monthly foreign exchange rates on Sage and update schedules

Process daily bank payments and manage monthly bank reconciliations

Manage salary and stock records, including posting relevant journals

Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and associated depreciation journals

Prepare and analyse sales vs cost of sales, and post adjustment journals at month-end

Produce weekly Management Information reports

Review and process employee expenses
To be considered for this position you must have experience in a similar position and be proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel.
