A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist, on behalf of our client, a leader manufacturing automotive company based in Basildon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate horizontal and 5-axis milling machines.
  • Load materials and unload finished products.
  • Adjust machine settings, including speeds and cutter paths, as required.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, adhering to customer tolerances.
  • Strictly follow procedures and safety guidelines, including company protocols, operating standards, and process documentation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of production activities, equipment issues, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Conduct machine inspections to identify mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials to minimize downtime.
  • Prioritize safety to protect yourself and others around operational machinery.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Time-served CNC Machinist.
  • Proficient in operating horizontal and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience working to high-quality standards on precision components.
  • Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
