Transaction Reporting Specialist

Location: Basildon Essex (Full Time OnSite)

Duration: 3 month initial contract, likely rolling up to 12 months (Outside IR35)

Deerfoot Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transaction Reporting Specialist to join a leading investment management firm on a 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension up to 12 months. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Basildon, Essex.

The Role

This position focuses on ensuring accurate and timely FCA MiFID II transaction reporting, maintaining compliance with FCA SUP 17 and RTS 22. The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Operations, and IT teams to manage reporting processes, conduct reconciliations, and support regulatory audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with MiFID II transaction reporting (RTS 22, FCA SUP 17).
  • Submit transaction reports via an Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM).
  • Investigate and resolve reporting issues, including rejected reports and FCA feedback.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliations, and manage reporting exceptions.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Front Office, IT, and external vendors on reporting processes.
  • Stay up to date with FCA and ESMA regulatory developments impacting transaction reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong expertise in FCA MiFID II transaction reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with ARMs and FCA Market Data Processor portal.
  • Background in investment management, asset management, or securities trading.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reconciliations, and exception management.
