About the role:

Our client is seeking a Buyer to join their Commercial team based out of their Basildon office. With a large number of tenders ongoing and continuous growth planned for the business, the team needs additional resources from a well-versed Buyer who knows the area and suppliers.

You will be responsible for Sourcing and producing a wide range of materials for various projects in the Commercial, Retail, Residential, and Education sectors.

This role will give you the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of projects

Build, maintain and improve supplier relationships
Identify new supplier opportunities
Negotiate pricing, terms and products
Manage the supply chain to ensure all materials are delivered to site
Work closely with the Projects team to ensure they have all the correct materials to complete each project in the time frame
Conduct site visits when necessary to monitor and assess material quality
Ad-hoc duties

Your Experience

Experience in a Buying or Procurement role within the Construction Industry
Experience with supplier management and negotiation skills

About the benefits and rewards:

The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of 45,000 to 60,000. In addition to the basic salary, there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health, and travel allowance.
