Pertemps are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Engineering Machining and Maintenance with a focus on Electronic systems based in EssexThe ideal candidate must possess the A1 Assessors Award and V1 Verifiers Award. This role involves teaching Level 2/3 general engineering students, ensuring high standards in marking and tracking learner progress.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in conventional machining techniques, including lathe and milling, as well as CNC techniques and maintenance principles.
  • Teach electronic systems and components, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons to Level 2/3 general engineering students.
  • Assess and mark student work accurately and in accordance with established standards.
  • Track and monitor learner progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in engineering machining and maintenance.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support students in their academic and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A1 Assessors Award and V1 Verifiers Award (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in conventional machining techniques, including lathe and milling, CNC techniques, and maintenance principles.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic systems and components.
  • Experience teaching at Level 2/3 in general engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar teaching role.
