Looking to join a thriving accountancy firm to support a varied portfolio of clients across Audit & Accounts? If so, this Audit & Accounts Senior job in Bath could be for you.

During an exciting period of growth, this firm of experienced accountants is looking for a detail-orientated and highly organised professional, with good time management and strong IT skills. The role will be varied with a rough split of 40:40:20 to audit:accounts:tax.

This opportunity will suit someone who is confident to manage their own workflow autonomously, and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - will be essential. You’ll be able to build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst always striving to deliver excellence.

Job Purpose

  • Management of audits, from planning to completion
  • Preparation of accounts for Limited companies, as well as corporation tax returns.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Confidently present work to senior managers, completing files to a high standard.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting with their learning and development.
  • Set an example for the team as a natural senior member of the team.
