Your Role:
As the Project Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the smooth transfer of services for a go-live on 1 April 2025. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll play a crucial role in:
- Recording, forecasting, and reporting mobilisation costs
- Supporting the Due Diligence process with insightful analysis and interpretation
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks
- Building cost centre structures and establishing reporting and approval hierarchies
- Leading budget builds based on due diligence findings
- Managing cutover processes such as asset transfer, suppliers, customers, property, and treasury
- Costing sub-contracts and service level agreements for both revenue and expenditure
- Implementing key control processes and training on systems like Proactis
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum AAT qualification with extensive experience in a similar role
- Project experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- IT literacy and the ability to quickly adopt new systems
- Driving license and access to a car
Personal Attributes:
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Adaptability in a dynamic reporting environment
- Confidence to challenge operational management when necessary
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Clear communication of complex financial issues to non-financial stakeholders
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Experience with systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Proactis, and iTrent
- Background in the NHS or care sector
