Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a floating supported housing officer for a client of ours based in Wiltshire and Bath.Location: Wiltshire and Bath (Mainly Salisbury but occasionally Throwbridge) Contract type: Temporary (6 weeks minimum)Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £13.73 per hour Please note access to own vehicle is essential as travel is required.Main duties and responsibilities

  • Offering companionship, actively listening to clients, and providing emotional support to help improve mental well-being.
  • Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviors, and working with other professionals for tailored support plans.
  • Helping clients develop skills and strategies to live independently, including budgeting, cooking, and self-care.
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and other services, advocating for their rights and ensuring they receive appropriate care.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress, behaviour, and any significant changes, while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Encouraging and facilitating socialization, participation in activities, or community engagement to improve the client's quality of life.

Person Specification

  • Previous support work experience.
  • Ability to work with individuals who display challenging behaviours.
  • Previous experience working within the housing sector.
  • Must be ready to start ASAP with up to date DBS.
  • Must have a full current driving license and access to own vehicle.
