Role Overview: As a Manufacturing Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our clients supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and other departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and support our production goals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and purchase materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to understand material requirements and address any supply chain issues.
  • Analyse market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production purchasing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
