  • Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Bungay, is seeking a Buyer for a full-time, permanent position with working hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

  • The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain or complete their Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) qualification, with a requirement of at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Our client, a hugely successful and well-established manufacturer based in Bungay, are currently seeking a Buyer to join their team.

This is a full time, permanent position, working 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, based in Bungay.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a busy procurement department within a large, complex manufacturing or process industry environment is ideal but not required
  • Supplier negotiation experience
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and processes including effective admin of Purchase Ordering
  • Able to deliver system and process improvements
  • Experience of dealing with senior, peer and sometimes challenging individuals
  • Order expediting and progress chasing
  • Experience in development of, and adherence to, procurement budgets and targets
  • Experience of buying for manufacturing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with suppliers, contractors and key members of the team
  • Confident advising on all aspects of procurement process including optimum solutions and effective sourcing decisions
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Excellent administration skills

Our client will fully fund the successful candidate in gaining their Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) professional qualification or will cover the remainder of the cost if the successful candidate is already part way though their CIPS qualification.

The Buyer has a range of duties and are primarily responsible for sourcing site components, consumables and leading smaller procurement initiatives.
