Customer Service AdvisorBedford Monday to Friday - Office Based £26,000 - £28,000

Our client, a well-established organisation in the transport industry, is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their team. As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service to our client's valued customers, ensuring the successful execution of transport consignments in line with expectations and agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming customer communications such as orders, inquiries, and complaints. Accurately and comprehensively record all information in the system to facilitate successful transport execution.
  • Foster strong and lasting relationships with our client's customers by understanding the importance of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client's service offering to present customers with the most cost-effective and relevant solutions.
  • Balance profitability and service levels to drive business growth while maintaining high standards.
  • Collaborate with key account and business development teams to maximise account retention and expansion.
  • Prioritise workload to meet required deadlines for transport consignments.
  • Record complaints and deviations according to our client's DIR/CAPA and nonconformance procedures.
  • Compile monthly KPI data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Authorise costs and revenue upon completion of transport orders.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the team to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Proactively overcome challenges in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the transport or logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting and processing information.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
