Reporting into the Finance Director of this fast-paced multi-site business, the role is a crucial position within the structure of this finance team. You will be a dynamic individual who is experienced in managing a team, challenging process and developing strong business relationships.

The role will require a fully qualified accountant, ACCA or CIMA with prior experience in a commercial facing role in a fast-paced environment. You will be tasked with providing a balanced but comprehensive insight into P&L and balance sheet. You will be a strong communicator with advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Your key stakeholder contacts within the business will be the wider finance team to include commercial and operations, the Senior Leadership Team, internal controls and Auditors.

The key areas of responsibility will include:

• Manage the accountancy team to include 6 direct reports. • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting in line with group reporting deadlines• Overseeing of weekly performance & cash reporting• Supporting & overseeing monthly accounts preparation, including:o Liaising with internal customers on sales and cost of sales querieso Posting & authorising journals and balance sheet reconciliationso Analysis of month end position presented back to Finance Director• Budgeting & quarterly re-forecasts• Ad hoc projects• Internal data requests

Principle Accountabilities

• Drive the reporting cadence, weekly and monthly ensuring a true & fair representation of trading delivery.• Completion of reconciled monthly accounts & pack for monthly business reviews• Liaising with ledger manager on payments / receipts and reflecting that in a rolling 18-week cash forecast.• Support cash and balance sheet Budget/re-forecast process to deliver an accurate outlook. • Support delivery of a controlled and understood financial period end with no outstanding queries.• Supporting the finance team on projects• Provide cover across the finance team as required. • Complete ad-hoc requests from the Group finance team• Management of foreign currency requirements & cover
