Our client is seeking an experienced Immigration solicitor to join their Bedford based team.

The Role

Reporting to the Supervising Partner, the successful candidate will have experience in both Business and Private Immigration, including but not limited to the following areas:

Visa (Business, Work, Student, Family, Visitors), Sponsor Licence Applications, Advice on migrant employees, Settlement in the UK/ Indefinite Leave to Remain, Extension applications, British Citizenship, Human Rights & Asylum, Deportation & Removals, Subject Access Requests and EEA Applications.

Candidate specification

Candidates should ideally have:

• A minimum of 1 years PQE as a solicitor in Immigration Law• Good client care skills, provide professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of conduct • Strong IT skills • Effective business development skills with proven marketing strategies • Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets • Up-to-date knowledge and skills in compliance with Continuing Professional Development and internal training expectations • Proven experience of handling own caseload • Ability to adhere to and manage deadlines • Good drafting and writing skills, excellent communication and technical ability
