Solicitor - Private Client
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Bedfordshire (Hybrid working available)
  • Hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday - Friday

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join an award-winning firm. The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides exceptional legal services during life-changing events. This role requires a Solicitor who is adept at handling Wills, LPA’s, and Probate matters, and who is committed to supporting and advising clients to make informed decisions.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Assist the Team Leader with the processing of Probate client files.
  • Prepare estate accounts and inheritance tax forms.
  • Draft Wills and LPA documents.
  • Attend client appointments and respond to enquiries requiring legal knowledge.
  • Engage in marketing activities for the department, including networking, article writing, and website content updates.
  • Attend training courses, conferences, and seminars to maintain up-to-date legal knowledge.
  • Delegate tasks to Business Support staff as appropriate.
  • Provide financial information to the Senior Management Team upon request.
  • Conduct the required number of file reviews per month.
  • Record all chargeable and non-chargeable time accurately.
  • Ensure file closing procedures are in line with the firm’s standards and SRA requirements.
  • Maintain Lexcel standard requirements within the department, including updating procedures and client-related letter templates.
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s procedures, policies, and office manual.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE experience
  • Must have experience in Trusts.
  • Strong client care skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident in dealing with a range of people via telephone, email, or face-to-face.
  • Professional telephone manner and the ability to work under pressure in a busy office.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and case management systems.
  • Marketing and networking experience.
