A new exciting Payroll Coordinator position working for a business located in Bedford working hybrid 3 days in office

Job Description

  • Oversee and follow the company payroll processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain the payroll information by collecting, calculation and entering data
  • Be the first point of contact for any payroll-related queries/requests for information
  • Liaise with the necessary teams to ensure timesheets are with Payroll on time
  • Be responsible for ensuring all financial controls and processes are followed and that confidentiality and security of information is always maintained
  • Be the main point of contact with third-party payroll companies ensuring all processes and queries are handled promptly
  • Calculation of all statutory liabilities and completion of all related payments

Finance & Accounts

  • Prepare and process payroll journals.
  • Reconcile wages, NI, and pension accounts.
  • Issue recharge invoices.
  • Process third parties payments.
  • Maintain company credit card expenses, send statements to employees, approve and post journals.
  • Maintain expense and mileage claims, and make sure that claims are approved and paid correctly.
  • Assist with all audit payroll-related queries.
  • Royston month-end process

Requirements

  • Previous Payroll experience
  • Good all round HMRC knowledge - PAYE tax, NI, SMP etc
  • Ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees in all levels of the business.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Confident user of Excel, Vlookup, PIVOT tables.
  • Ability to work confidentially and discreetly.
