As a Buyer you will be supporting the Procurement Manager, whilst also handling your own planning and procurement for an assigned supplier portfolio. You will also conduct regular site visits to improve processes and efficiency and will liaise with various departments.

Key Responsibilities for a Buyer
- Provide support to the Procurement Manager in any tasks, deputising for them or other buyers during their absence
- Manage your own planning and procurement for assigned suppliers
- Supplier management, including regular site visits to drive process improvements
- Liaise with Goods In, Quality Assurance, Customer Services and External Sales
- Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency
- Conduct supplier risk assessments
Key Skills for a Buyer
- CIPS Level 4 or the desire to want to achieve a minimum CIPS Level 4
- A minimum of two years-experience within Procurement and Supply
- Experience with purchase orders and using business management systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
