We are on the lookout for a proactive and meticulous Purchase ledger professional with experience in logistics ( imports/exports) to join our client's vibrant finance team. This position is crucial for managing their financial operations, focusing on accounts payable to ensure efficient transaction processing and financial management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining their financial integrity through various accounting activities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage end-of-month financial tasks and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handle the entry and verification of financial data related to international and domestic invoices, mindful of applicable tax laws.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting by adhering to budget allocations and managing periodic adjustments like prepayments and accruals.
  • Aid in the preparation for monthly financial closures by supporting the finance managers.
  • Execute payment transactions through electronic transfer systems, prioritising urgent payments.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from suppliers, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to streamline return processes.
  • Initiate setup procedures for new vendor accounts and maintain robust financial records.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts in various currencies and manage credit card statements.
  • Manage and record transactions between affiliated companies and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department by supporting a range of financial operations as needed.
  • Experience in Logistics sector : imports/exports 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent numerical skills and a thorough understanding of financial regulations and accounting practices.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of handling complex negotiations and discussions.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach but also able to work independently.
  • Precision in data management with a keen eye for detail.
  • Responsible for delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.
  • Initiative to identify inefficiencies and suggest practical solutions.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting, such as AAT, or comparable work experience.
