SF is seeking a Financial/Management Accountant for a permanent position in Derby with a salary of up to £40,000.
The role offers flexible working hours, including 2 days of remote work, and 25 holidays plus bank holidays and a birthday off.
Candidates should have month-end and management accounting experience, including VAT returns, and ideally be part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
Key responsibilities include producing monthly P&L accounts, analyzing variances, and supporting non-finance staff with financial understanding.
The ideal candidate should be ambitious and eager to implement changes and improvements within the finance team.

SF are currently recruiting for a new exciting role for a great business as a Financial/Management Accountant based in Derby on a permanent basis. This role offers flexible working hours and working from home options.

Salary up to £40,000
2 days working from home
Full time - Flexible working hours
25 Holidays + Bank Holidays + Birthday off

Job duties:
Producing monthly P&L accounts on a site-by-site basis
Investigating and analysing variances
Finance for “non finance” people- helping the site managers understand the key drivers in their accounts
Management of operational expenditure system Moss
Provide support and resolve queries from staff
Production of Weekly and Monthly KPIs
Various ad-hoc reports
Quarterly VAT returns with partial exemption calculations required
Provide support to Financial Accountants and other members of finance team as required.
Involvement in budget processing
Involvement in annual year end audit

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by experience
Must have Month - End and Management Accounting experience (Including VAT Returns)
Ambitious and looking to make a change/improvements
Sage200 (Desirable)
