NMS Recruit is partnering with a highly respected Accountancy Practice based in Shrewsbury to secure an Accounts Senior (Audit). This is a full-time opportunity for a strategic financial leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the financial reporting process for the audit team's expanding client portfolio.
  • Prepare financial statements and tax computations for more complex assignments and larger client groups within the audit team.
  • Communicate effectively with both the audit team and clients to request information, address queries, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure the timely submission of approved financial statements and statutory tax returns, adhering to relevant reporting standards and deadlines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client reporting and taxation processes, while also assessing potential needs for specialized advisory services.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to junior team members, leveraging your expertise and experience.
  • Review and supervise the work of junior team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Be fully or partially qualified with ACCA or ACA.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of accounting standards, with a solid working knowledge of FRS 102.
  • Have experience using CaseWare (preferred but not essential).
  • Have experience in preparing charity accounts (desirable but not required).
