Are you searching for a new and exciting opportunity in your career? Our client is looking for a highly skilled and professional Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This senior role will involve leading electrical design projects, managing a team of engineers, and providing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, with the office based in Bicester.

Our client is a highly regarded and innovative engineering consultancy known for delivering world-class solutions in the field of electrical design. They operate across multiple sectors and are committed to providing sustainable solutions for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

-Responsible for overseeing the electrical design process from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all work meets the highest technical standards, is within budget, and is delivered on time.

-Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs.

-Liaise directly with clients and contractors to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.

-Review and approve designs produced by the team, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety requirements, and sustainability goals.

Key Requirements:

-A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

-Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.

-Expertise in the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and low voltage systems.

-Extensive experience in electrical design within a building services or similar environment, including proven experience in a senior or leadership role.

-Efficient skills using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Dialux.

-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

-Strong project management skills with a prior experience of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
