Reed Business Support are actively recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive on behalf of our client based in Billingham. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with trade customers to encourage business growth through telephone-based prospecting. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, creating and following up on quotations, identifying opportunities, and servicing accounts to further the business within the trade sector.

Day to day of the role:
  • Work closely with the line manager to contribute to the annual strategic plan.
  • Develop a value proposition for accounts you are responsible for.
  • Make prospect calls to non-spending branches and prospects.
  • Manage accounts according to the call-cycle.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations for accounts you are responsible for.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure leads are developed.
  • Send product information as required and ensure incoming enquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Monitor trade accounts’ spend in conjunction with sales target tracking.
  • Drive technology improvements to enhance department efficiency, including CRM enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate customer contact details in the CRM system.
  • Provide data and reports to the line manager as required.
  • Assist with telephone answering and account management, including dealing with queries/issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Customer service, marketing, and sales training are advantageous.
  • Excellent telephone skills and the ability to understand customer requirements to increase business.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and HubSpot.
  • A passion for the cause and respect for investor board values.
  • Strong attention to detail and a hunger to learn market and product information.
  • Must be a team player.
