Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Hygiene Manager to join their business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Manage recruitment, holiday requests, absence management, and performance reviews, ensuring a motivated and high-performing team.
* Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure all team members meet and exceed hygiene standards.
* Foster a positive and engaging work environment to achieve business objectives and maintain high team morale.
* Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Conduct regular inspections to verify the effectiveness of cleaning activities and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
* Maintain comprehensive hygiene records, including CICs, COSHH risk assessments, and audit documentation, addressing non-conformances promptly.
* Lead customer and third-party hygiene audits, including unannounced visits, ensuring top-tier compliance.
* Oversee the safe and effective use of cleaning chemicals, manage stock, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Manage pest control operations, analyse reports, and implement corrective actions to maintain a pest-free environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement hygiene improvements, continuously monitoring and enhancing performance metrics.
About you:
* Proven track record in a similar role in food/fresh manufacturing is required
* Experience in managing direct reports
* Competent in customer & third-party hygiene audits
