Role Purpose
  • To provide leadership and expertise in leading the compliance agenda for the Council
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring statutory duties, obligations, official standards, and best practice are met in respects of Gas Servicing, Legionella, Asbestos, Electrical and other key mechanical services.
  • Ensuring the safety of colleagues, contractors, and residents for compliance with health & safety legislation and landlord & tenant law relating to asset management.
  • Acting as lead representative in matters of statutory compliance.
  • To ensure the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to its assets.
  • Support colleagues at an operational and management level to proactively establish and maintain systems that promote a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.
  • Advise the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations, and generating action plans to ensure compliance across your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct audits and inspections across the portfolio to ensure compliance with council policies and procedures, as well as legislation, and support the successful implementation of corrective and or preventive actions.
  • Leadership support for the assets compliance team and manage and monitor their workload and performance on a day-to-day basis.

  • Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
