Our client, a well-established organisation with a strong presence in their sector, is seeking a talented Group Financial Accountant to join their team in South Birmingham. This is an exciting role offering the chance to work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment where your contributions will be highly valued. This Group Financial Accountant role is well suited for either a first-time or second-time mover from practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely consolidated group financial statements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA/CGMA) with post-qualification experience.
  • Experienced in group consolidations within a multi-entity organisation.
  • Proficient in technical accounting and compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Degree in accountancy, business or economics etc.
