Vivid's client in the West Midlands is looking for a Head of Finance for an 18 month FTC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance and procurement functions, ensuring effective financial controls and strategic financial management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support decision-making
- Manage treasury and investment strategies, ensuring long-term financial sustainability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including reporting to the board and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy, ensuring value for money and ethical sourcing
- Work closely with operational teams to align financial and procurement strategies with organisational objectives
- Support funding applications and investment decisions to enhance the organisation's housing portfolio
- Lead and mentor the finance and procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within social housing, public sector, or a not-for-profit environment
- Strong knowledge of financial management, procurement, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
