This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitiousindividual to join a global financial services firm as a Principal Internal Audit. The role is based in Birmingham and involves overseeing auditing processes for retail clients on a national scale.

Client Details

Our client is a large organisation within the financial services industry. With an impressive global footprint, they are looking to expand their large internal audit function due to increased auditing responsibility from the global group, aswell as organic business growth following a number of highly profitable years.

Description

  • Lead internal audit operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of audit reports, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risk areas within the business.
  • Implement effective strategies to enhance auditing processes.
  • Coordinate with different teams within the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all auditing activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Profile

A successful AVP Internal Audit should have:

  • Previous experience working within Internal Audit, or externally auditing global corporate clients
  • Exposure to financial services.
  • Proficiency in using audit tools and software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
