Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced, immediately available Service Charge Accountant to work on a long-term contract project for our remote client. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple residential service charges and related financial activities for a high profile client. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a property management firm and handling service charges, and preferably project exposure.
The successful candidate will find themselves utilising their rapport building, and technical skillsets in tandem to work on a backlog of service charge year ends. You will be; liaising with external stakeholders, including landlords, tenants, and managing agents. Managing service charges and ensure they are collected and allocated accurately and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of service charge budgets. Preparing and reconcile service charge accounts, including annual accounts.
Skills Needed
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a property management firm or a similar environment, with specific experience in handling service charges.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
