SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic organisation in the recruitment of a Corporate Finance Lead (Tax Governance & Compliance). The successful candidate will have strong taxation experience of large and complex organisations and will provide direction and influence across the organisaiton, being the authority on direct taxation matters.

This is a maternity cover for circa 11 months. Largely a remote working contract however the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Birmingham city centre once per month.

Key tasks:

- Manage all aspect of corporation tax compliance and reporting including preparation and submission of the tax packs and year end corporation tax and income tax computations and disclosures
  for group entities, liaising with tax advisors, auditors and key Trust and external stakeholders.
- Provide tax advisory services across the Group including leading on unusual and complex tax issues, including all direct, indirect and employment taxes as and where they arise.
- Responsible for all tax related accounting entries related to corporation tax, gift aid, deferred tax and those which affect tax disclosures in the statutory accounts.
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders on effective group corporation tax planning including any gift aid payments between subsidiaries and the Trust.
- Lead on tax and NIC treatment of employee earnings, benefits and expenses, and tax treatment of other employment tax related issues such as off-payroll workers to support People team in
  ensuring tax compliance.
- A key contact for HMRC for any queries and inquiries concerning taxation matters for the Trust.
- Maintenance of taxation governance framework and documentation, including the taxation risk register, and delivering any specific actions allocated or delegated in such documentation.
