Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to announce their newly found collaboration with an established organisation in the property sector. This organisation has recently expanded its scope within the West Midlands and are looking to bring on an up-and-coming Assistant Accountant into its experienced finance function. Their offices are based centrally in Birmingham and are in close proximity to the fantastic Birmingham Business District. The organisation has newly renovated its offices and they're easily accessible via train or car.

This organisation has been a staple of the property industry for a number of years, and have recently gone through a sustained period of development. They've decided to continue their expansion of their finance function and are hoping to bring on an aspirational individual with intentions to develop their experience and provide them with a fantastic pathway to becoming a Management Accountant. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be preparing journals such as accruals and prepayments and completing reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet. You will also be working closely with the Management Accountant where you will gain exposure and experience working on the P&L and occasionally being included in the budgeting and forecasting process. The organisation provides a fantastic study support package and offers flexible hybrid working.

Skills Required
  • To be either actively studying your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to have a strong intention to start your studies in one of these qualifications.
  • To have experience posting journals such as accruals and prepayments, and to have experience completing reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet.
  • To be confident and outgoing, as in this position you will be working with a cohesive team where you will have the opportunity to make a real input.
  • To have a fantastic attention to detail, and a strong level of experience using Microsoft Excel.
