Job Title: Student Engagement OfficerLocation: Birmingham (onsite, 5 days a week)Pay Rate: £13.07 - £14.95 per hour + holiday payHours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday)Contract: Temporary (3 months, May-July)Are you passionate about supporting student success and available to work onsite in Birmingham?We are seeking a proactive Student Engagement Officer to provide essential support to Home and International students at a dynamic higher education institute. This role involves managing student attendance, supporting re-enrolment, maintaining records, and promoting student events.Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to student queries and provide timely support.
  • Communicate changes such as timetable adjustments and class cancellations.
  • Manage re-enrolment for progressing students and coordinate Staff-Student Committee meetings.
  • Maintain attendance records in compliance with University and UKVI requirements.
  • Regularly update student data in the management system (e.g. SITS).
  • Organise student events and handle student letter requests.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service and smooth student engagement processes.
Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Experience in customer service and admin in higher education.
  • Knowledge of UKVI regulations and student funding (desirable)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
