Our client, a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Central Birmingham, is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team after Easter. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

About the Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you will provide targeted support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and assisting them in achieving their academic and personal goals. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a nurturing environment that fosters both academic and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to help raise achievement and confidence.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to children, focusing on social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement learning strategies and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with students, offering encouragement and motivation.
  • Support children in developing resilience and improving their wellbeing.
  • Engage with parents/carers to keep them informed about their childs progress.


About You:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or support role (desirable).
  • A patient, empathetic, and approachable nature.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable, but not essential.
