This prestigious firm, which operates within the legal sector, is looking to enhance its existing finance team by adding an experienced Legal Cashier who demonstrates extensive legal accounts experience and working knowledge of solicitors' accounts regulations.

Legal Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily banking functions, performing bank reconciliations, processing transactions, allocating payments, and making transfers
  • Update and maintain the accounting system, ensuring all customer data is accurate and up-to-date
  • Handle and process accounting transactions, including journal postings to the general ledger
  • Ensure accurate allocations by undertaking various reconciliations
  • Support credit control duties, ensuring no outstanding monies are owed prior to closing customer accounts
  • Raise invoices for customers and legal aid
  • Maintain billing and reporting Excel spreadsheets

Legal Cashier Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Legal Cashier, with experience gained in the legal sector and an understanding of SAR
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, able to update and maintain a variety of spreadsheets
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to pick up on discrepancies and work with accuracy
