My client is a well establised Birmingham organisation with a long standing track record of supporting the local community.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented temporary Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk based in South Birmingham to support our client on a short-term basis.

As Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk reporting to the Finance Manager you will play a key role in the Finance Team, managing all aspects of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations. Specifically your duties will include;

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable - Manage purchase and sales ledgers, process invoices, oversee aged debtors/creditors, and ensure timely payments while maintaining accurate supplier and donor records.
  • Banking & Reconciliation - Import and reconcile bank statements, ensuring all transactions are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Finance Administration & Compliance - Maintain supplier accounts, manage the finance inbox, and stay updated on sector developments to enhance financial operations.

The most desirable applicant for the Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk will:

  • Have demonstrable experience of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledge and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Be available at short notice (Ideally for an immediate start).
  • Be able to travel to the South Birmingham office full time at the begining of the contract, moving to a hybrid structure (3 days working form home).
