Job Opportunity: Temporary School Chef Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: 17.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic School Chef Manager to lead the food and beverage services. This role offers the opportunity to create high-quality, nutritious meals for students and staff, manage budgets, and lead a talented catering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning & Food Production: Design and manage seasonal, balanced menus for students (ages 11-18) and ensure high-quality food preparation.
  • Financial Management: Develop and monitor the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective meal production and waste management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the catering team, ensuring high standards of service and food quality.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Promote healthy eating initiatives and maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 (or equivalent), Health & Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience managing catering in large quantities (preferably in a school or education setting).
  • Strong budgeting, leadership, and communication skills.
  • A passion for healthy eating and creating innovative, nutritious menus.
