Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for leading teams and driving technological excellence in education? We are seeking a Part-time IT Manager to oversee the development, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This person will work 22.5 hrs per week, covering 3 full working days (salary is pro rata). Job PurposeAs the Central IT Manager, you will lead IT teams to maintain and enhance network infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of access, security, and efficiency across school sites. You will play a key role in the strategic development of IT systems, working closely with senior leadership to drive innovation and improve IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

LeadershipLead and develop an efficient and forward-thinking ICT team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented culture.Ensure technological compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment with the school's goals.Manage, mentor, and support two Local Network Managers, ensuring their professional growth and effective performance.Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on IT infrastructure development and digital transformation.

ICT ManagementDevelop and implement a long-term ICT strategy aligned with the organisation's vision and objectives.Oversee major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for IT system usage and security.Provide technical support and professional advice to staff, students, and the wider school community.

Service DeliveryImplement a high-quality IT service model, ensuring efficient communication and support across all sites.Define and monitor key service deliverables, ensuring high standards of IT support.Oversee the ICT Service Centre and Helpdesk, managing service level agreements with vendors and monitoring performance.

Security & Data ProtectionWork closely with IT security teams to prevent unauthorised access and enhance cybersecurity.Ensure effective virus protection, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.Oversee the management of school databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations.

General ResponsibilitiesContribute to the wider goals of the organisation and support its educational vision.Provide training and professional development to IT team members.Ensure compliance with IT, Child Protection, Health & Safety, Security, and Data Protection policies.Actively support the safeguarding and well-being of students.
