Territory Sales Manager
We are recruiting for a Territory Sales Manager for a manufacturer and global leader in their field. Covering the Midlands region you'll be responsible for coordinating the implementation of a company's strategic sales and marketing plans in an assigned territory. The role will require 50% selling time derived from leads generated via central marketing activity and 50% of selling time from leads derived by via self-generated activity to new/new customers and upsell/cross sell to existing customers within the territory.
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will need to have/be:
- Previous experience working in a sales / business development role within a B2B and / or B2C environment. B2B2C ideal.
- Proven history of generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
- Initiative-taking, ambitious, proactive and target focussed with a drive to succeed.
- Inclusive and collaborative working style with all other functions of the business and customers.
- Able to capture customer needs and help translate these into profitable product solutions working collaboratively.
- Great at relationship building and networking.
- High activity levels, capable of delivering on short-, medium- and long-term goals.
- Fanatical prospector, who is highly adept at managing their sales pipeline.
- Develops action plans to win new customers and business and retention plans to protect and maximise the sales of existing customers.

Details:
- Salary: 38, 000 - 43, 000 basic + 10, 000 bonus based on achieving sales target + Car
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday
- Location: Field based, covering the Midlands region

Role of Territory Sales Manager:
- Driving profitable product, training, and maintenance sales growth across the territory.
- Proactively developing territory business plans that will grow the business. This includes strategies for winning new business as well as retention plans to protect and grow existing business.
- Implementing new business initiatives to drive sales.
- Collaborating closely with existing customers to generate new business within accounts.
- Generating and following up quotations and reports
- Identifying sales opportunities because of market changes.
- Negotiating sales contracts with customers and ensuring their profitability in collaboration with Finance, Marketing and Head of Sales / MD.
- Working with the marketing team to devise marketing materials and tools to support new business.
- Reporting weekly on activities via a weekly field report and team meetings and updating business development plans.
- Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities on CRM. Expectation is that these records will be up-to-date, daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Communicating new product developments to prospective and existing customers
- Monitoring and analysing market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Assess sales performance according to KPI's.
- Actively participate in discussions and plans related to sales process improvements and strategies.
- Participate in Industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships.
