Your new companyHays are delighted to be supporting one of our key social housing clients in recruiting a Repairs Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in ensuring that tenants live in well-maintained homes, joining a best-in-class housing repairs team.Your new roleYour new role as a Repairs Supervisor will see you oversee a team of Repairs Operatives, and contractors, ensuring that issues with tenants homes are correctly diagnosed, and the correct remedial actions are taken. Your duties will include:

  • Leading the team to ensure a high quality of repairs work is undertaken, in line with legislation and guidance.
  • Yourself complete post-inspections to ensure works are completed to a high standard.
  • Support your team with regular one-to-ones and performance reviews.
  • Ensure high professional standards from your team in this front-line role.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role you will ideally have similar experience in a management role within social housing, or senior inspection/operative experience in similar environments. You will hold a relevant qualification in a building-related discipline, have strong construction and health & safety knowledge, and have experience in managing budgets overseeing projects.Applicants will require the right to work in the UK at the time of application, as Visa sponsorship will not be offered.
