Head of Operations - Event Traffic

Location: UK wide, to events

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum

Company Overview:We are looking for a leading event management company specializing in organizing large-scale events across various locations, who pride themselves on delivering exceptional experiences while prioritizing the safety and satisfaction of attendees.

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Head of Operations within Event Traffic Management to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow and ensuring safety protocols are followed during our events. This role will involve working on evenings and weekends, as you will need to be at the various events. However; you will still only work 5 days out of 7, so will get days off in the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive traffic management plans for each event, considering factors such as venue layout, expected attendance, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals for traffic management activities.
  • Implement traffic control measures, including signage, barriers, and designated routes, to facilitate smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Supervise on-site traffic management operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate potential hazards related to traffic management.
  • Collaborate with other event staff, including security personnel and venue managers, to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for attendees.

Requirements:

  • Lantra 12D M6 certification
  • SIA DS or L4 Spec Safety qualifications ideally
  • Proven experience in events or entertainment traffic management industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for traffic planning and management
