Executive Assistant to the Director/Operations Manager - FMCG 

Monday to Friday - 8am - 4.30pm 

Annual Salary £35,000 - £45,000 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Executive Assistant/Operations Manager to join our well-established FMCG client based in BIRMINGHAM B42, WEST MIDLANDS on a full-time permanent basis.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Work alongside the Director to implement efficient business processes across all departments
  • Develop and maintain systems to improve workflow, task management, and accountability
  • Oversee administrative functions, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and compliance
  • Coordinate communication between departments to enhance collaboration and efficiency
  • Hold meetings with teams and stakeholders in the Director’s absence, documenting decisions and ensuring follow-up actions
  • Track key business metrics and ensure critical tasks are completed
  • Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial process improvements
  • Manage the Director’s schedule, meetings, and correspondence, prioritizing key business objectives
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks to improve overall business performance
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support company goals

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Manager, or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of business processes, system implementation, and operational efficiency
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead meetings and drive accountability
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in project management, including the use of project management software
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and financial reporting systems
  • Background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
  • Experience working in a fast-growing or rapidly changing business environment
