Job Purpose
  • Oversee the Accounting Services department to ensure clients receive an excellent, all-encompassing service
  • Manage your own client portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with accounting standards
  • Monitor deadlines and work closely with senior team to ensure budgets and clients’ expectations are always met
  • Preparation of accounts, returns, and income and corporation tax computations
  • Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training
  • Support business development by scoping new service lines for your portfolio
  • Work closely across departments to ensure clients are benefiting from an all-encompassing service
  • Oversee ad hoc client projects, including cashflow forecasts valuations and advice on acquisitions
  • Deliver training and review processes to implement more efficient ways of service delivery
  • Set an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager

The Successful Candidate
  • ICAEW / ACA/ ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years’ experience within practice
  • Qualified by relevant experience also considered
  • Proven track record as a Senior Accountant or similar role within practice
  • Proficient in using various accounting software, including MS Office
  • Solid knowledge oof FRS 102 and UK accounting standards
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff at all levels
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
  • Confident working alongside senior management
  • Motivated and able to inspire others
  • Strong commercial acumen
