ERP Financial Systems ManagerLocation: Birmingham / Hybrid Salary: £85,000 A fantastic opportunity has come up to join a fantastic organisation that has invested millions in all areas of the business, and a newly created Financial Systems team is required for their next phase of growth. The Finance Systems Manager for this requirement will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our financial systems, with a large focus on ERP upgrades and implementations. This role centres on maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1.3), leveraging Tableau for reporting, and managing financial hierarchies. As we bring ERP support in-house for better alignment with our goals, the Finance Systems Manager will lead this transition. Responsibilities:System Management & Maintenance

  • Oversee the daily management, operation, and support of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.1.3, focusing on core financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management. Ensure system stability, and alignment with current business requirements, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Understand and seek to maximise interfaces between Oracle and other systems e.g. the Finance App and work with Data Analytics to reconcile information reported from the different systems.
  • Coordinate ERP upgrades, patches, and add-on implementations to keep the system up-to-date and secure, collaborating with IT teams and external consultants as needed.

System Optimisation & Process Improvement

  • Analyse current financial processes and ERP functionalities to identify gaps and recommend enhancements that increase efficiency, improve control, and reduce manual interventions.
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives, including new module implementations, system upgrades, and integration projects to optimise financial workflows.

Experience required for the role:

  • This role would suit a seasoned ERP Systems Manager or Finance Systems Specialist with strong experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), particularly in financial modules.
  • Strong ERP technical and functional support skills, with knowledge of configurations, data integration, and reporting tools like Tableau.
  • Proven experience in managing ERP systems, maintenance, upgrades, and implementations, specifically with Oracle EBS R12.1.3.
  • Strong background in developing front-end reporting and managing financial hierarchies.
  • A mindset focused on optimisation, innovation, and aligning systems with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with cloud financial systems and their integration into existing workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in transitioning from fully outsourced ERP support to in-house.
  • Experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
