Finance Business Change Manager

Start: ASAP

Rate: £550 (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 Months Initially (likely extension)

Hybrid Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Translate Workstream Leads’ objectives into actionable plans, update the Project Board on progress, risks, and issues, and oversee procured external reviewers
  • Analyze current practices with SMEs to identify inefficiencies, duplication, and gaps in processes
  • Coordinate gap analysis of current practices against regulations, prioritize improvements, and plan steps for all workstreams
  • Facilitate diagnostic activities and align practices with best standards (e.g., CIPFA codes)
  • Develop solutions, draft SOPs, update governance, and embed new practices across workstreams
  • Support people-focused change, including building competencies aligned to CIPFA accreditation
  • Create rollout plans, training materials, and communications for new processes, including workshops and stakeholder engagement

Person Specification:

  • Qualified accountant or qualifies by experience with knowledge of service review activities
  • Excellent communicator, able to work with all levels and proficient in succinct report writing
  • Able to work on own initiative, in a collaborative environment, sharing tasks and changing requirements
  • Public sector experience preferred, but knowledge of Charity and Traded Service operations beneficial
  • MS Office proficiency, inc Teams / SharePoint and able to work in a professional manner, understanding the need for audit controls
  • Team player who is able to collaborate with other professional teams to achieve the overall workstream goals
